Photos Roses Biography
An authorised biography of The Stone Roses, Fool’s Gold, is set to be released on October 25 2012.
Publishers Viking recently paid an undisclosed six figure sum for the book at auction. Written by Simon Spence, who ghost wrote former Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham’s book Stoned, the book will first be released in a £20 hardback edition, reports The Bookseller.
Fool’s Gold will feature 50 unseen photos of The Stone Roses, and is based on over 400 hours of new interviews with the band as well as friends and music industry figures.
The rights to the book were bought by Viking’s editorial director Joel Rickett. Of the forthcoming release he says:
